On Saturday, November 12th, seven sailors attended our first winter educational class. Matthew Otto from the Rig Loft in Ledyard, Connecticut taught the standard way to make a Brummell splice and a soft shackle. These skills are invaluable for the novice and experienced sailor to know for all parts of the running and standing rigging on your sailboat.
We will continue our educational series in January, February and March on other important topics for sailors. Watch for more information in coming in December!
