 The main purpose of the CS Sherman LS-3400 Splice Eye w/ Adjuster is to transfer the life line from the stern pulpit connection point to the LS-3300 Gate Eye to Spliced Eye and have the compacity to adjust the life line for proper tension.  The LS-3300 can be adjusted from 4 1/4" to 5 1/4" post to post which gives the installer 1" of working room. This product is only used for aft gate life lines where the space from gate to stern pulpit is no larger than 5'. Any measurements larger then 5' the installer should use a LS-2900 turnbuckle for longer adjustment options.
